Overview

Watchlist provides a powerful way to organize and monitor your favorite stocks in customizable lists. This feature helps traders stay focused on specific stocks of interest, receive targeted alerts, and quickly track performance of curated stock groups throughout the trading day.

Understanding Watchlist

What is Watchlist?

Watchlist allows you to create custom lists of stocks that you want to monitor closely. Each watchlist provides:

• Quick performance overview - See all key metrics in one table
• Customizable alerts - Receive notifications for news, QR releases, and ex-dates
• Multiple lists - Create up to 60 watchlists for different purposes
• Daily summaries - Get end-of-day telegram updates on your watchlist performance

Subscription Tiers

Watchlist features vary by subscription level:

• Basic Plan: Create and manage personal watchlists with telegram alerts
• Pro Plan: All Basic features with real-time data, plus Discover List to follow shared watchlists
• Elite Plan: All Pro features with extended usage on watchlist

Managing Watchlists

New Watchlist

To create your watchlist:

1. Navigate to the Monitor section
2. Click the Create Watchlist button
3. Enter a name for your watchlist
4. Configure alert preferences:
   • News Alert: Receive telegram notifications for stock news
   • EOD Summary: Get daily performance summary at market close
   • QR Alert: Get notified when quarterly reports are released
   • Ex-Date Alert: Get notified of upcoming ex-dividend dates
5. Select stocks using the ticker selector
6. Click Submit to create the watchlist

To receive telegram alerts, you must register your telegram account in Settings > Preferences first. A link is provided in the watchlist modal if you haven't registered yet.

Adding Stocks

There are multiple ways to add stocks to your watchlist:

Using Ticker Selector

The ticker selector in the watchlist modal provides several options:

1. Search by name or ticker - Type to find specific stocks
2. Browse by sector - Select all stocks from a sector at once
3. Import list - Paste a list of tickers, stock codes, or company names

The ticker selector shows the count of selected stocks in the label, e.g., "Tickers (5 selected)".

Import List Feature

To quickly add multiple stocks:

1. Click Import List accordion in the watchlist modal
2. Paste your list (supports tickers like "MAYBANK", stock codes like "1155", or company names)
3. Click Import
4. The system automatically identifies and adds valid tickers

The import feature is flexible and accepts mixed formats separated by spaces or commas.

Sector Selection

To add all stocks from a sector:

1. Open the ticker selector
2. Navigate to the sector tab
3. Click Select All next to the desired sector
4. All stocks in that sector are added to your selection

Watchlist Configuration

When creating or editing a watchlist, you can configure several options:

Alert Settings

• News Alert: Get telegram notifications when there's news about your stocks
• EOD Summary: Receive a daily summary of watchlist performance
• QR Alert: Get notified when companies release quarterly reports
• Ex-Date Alert: Receive alerts for upcoming ex-dividend dates

All alerts are enabled by default but can be toggled individually.

Sharing Options (Pro Plan and Above)

Pro and Elite subscribers can share their watchlists:

1. Check Share Watchlist when creating or editing
2. Once created, a shareable link becomes available
3. Click Copy Link to share with others
4. Other users can follow or copy your watchlist

When you unshare a watchlist, followers will no longer receive updates. The system will confirm before unsharing.

Watchlist Toolbar

The watchlist toolbar provides quick access to management functions:

Watchlist Selector

• Dropdown showing all your watchlists
• Badge displays the number of tickers in the selected watchlist
• Switch between watchlists instantly
• Followed watchlists are marked with a Following badge

Action Buttons

1. Edit Button (Pencil icon)

   • Modify watchlist name and settings
   • Add or remove stocks
   • Update alert preferences
   • Disabled for followed watchlists (you don't own them)

2. More Options Menu (Three dots)

   • New Watchlist: Create additional watchlists
   • Edit Watchlist: Same as edit button
   • Delete Watchlist: Remove a watchlist permanently
   • Discover List: Browse shared watchlists (Pro and above)

Editing a Watchlist

To modify an existing watchlist:

1. Select the watchlist from the dropdown
2. Click the Edit button (pencil icon)
3. Update watchlist name, tickers, or alert settings
4. The interface shows which tickers are new additions
5. Click Update to save changes

New tickers to be added are highlighted with badges showing their names, making it easy to verify your changes before saving.

Deleting a Watchlist

To remove a watchlist:

1. Open the More Options menu (three dots)
2. Select Delete Watchlist
3. Confirm the deletion in the alert dialog
4. The watchlist is permanently removed

Deletion cannot be undone. Make sure you want to remove the watchlist before confirming.

Adding to Existing Watchlist

You can add stocks to an existing watchlist from various places in the application:

1. Click the + Watchlist button next to a stock ticker
2. Select the target watchlist
3. The stock is added to that watchlist
4. A badge indicates which tickers are new additions

This quick-add feature is available throughout the monitor interface wherever stock tickers are displayed.

Favorite Stocks

Within each watchlist, you can pin favorite stocks:

1. Click the pin icon next to any stock
2. Pinned stocks appear at the top of the table
3. Easily access your most important stocks
4. Only available for your own watchlists (not followed lists)

This helps prioritize stocks within a larger watchlist.

Discover List (Pro and Elite Plans)

Discover List is a premium feature available only for Pro plan and above subscribers.

What is Discover List?

Discover List allows you to browse and follow watchlists shared by other traders and experts in the community. This provides:

• Expert insights - Follow watchlists from successful traders
• Theme-based lists - Discover stocks grouped by investment themes
• Community collaboration - Learn from others' stock selections
• Automatic updates - Followed lists update when the creator modifies them

Browsing Shared Watchlists

To explore available watchlists:

1. Open the More Options menu in the watchlist toolbar
2. Select Discover List
3. Browse the list of shared watchlists
4. View details including:
   • Watchlist name
   • Creator name
   • Number of tickers
   • Follower count
   • Copy count

Following a Watchlist

To follow a shared watchlist:

1. Find the watchlist in the Discover List
2. Click the Follow action
3. The watchlist is added to your list with a Following badge
4. You receive updates when the creator modifies it
5. You cannot edit followed watchlists

Following maintains a live connection - when the creator adds or removes stocks, your followed copy updates automatically.

Copying a Watchlist

To create your own editable version:

1. Find the watchlist in the Discover List
2. Click the Copy action
3. A new independent watchlist is created in your account
4. You can freely edit, add, or remove stocks
5. Your copy doesn't update when the original changes

Copying is useful when you want to use someone's watchlist as a starting point and customize it to your needs.

Shared Watchlist Indicators

Followed watchlists are clearly marked:

• Following badge in the watchlist selector
• Edit button is disabled
• You can view and monitor but not modify

• Watchlists are stored in your account and persist across devices

Q: What's the difference between following and copying a watchlist?

Q: Can I edit a watchlist I'm following?

Q: Will my followers be notified when I update my shared watchlist?

Q: How does the EOD Summary work?

A: The End-of-Day Summary sends a telegram message after market close with a summary of your watchlist's performance for the day, including price changes, volumes, and notable events.

Q: Can I pin stocks in a followed watchlist?

A: No, you cannot pin stocks in followed watchlists because you don't have edit permissions. Pinning favorites is only available for watchlists you own.
